spiritual songs about death
I am an atheist. sometimes I feel alone with all my friends and family religious?

My father is a "found" Christian, my agnostic spiritual mother. my best friend is a "God is love" kind of person and my boyfriend a Christian. Sometimes I feel alone in the big picture everything and sometimes I worry in the back of my mind over death, "why we are here," and all these sorts of ridiculous things. I know why I am atheist. I have been since I was 12 or 13. I'm not depressed, I saw the evidence. but sometimes when I see my boyfriend at church pray, or hear someone say how wonderful heaven will be, or even when I heard my boyfriend "dirge" (wear by my demon hunter) I get these weird butterflies in my stomach. the kind that almost make me feel bad about myself, making me feel like I was doing bad thing, and I just looked at my feet and feel like I'm not with him, I am small and lost. I wish I could say I believed in something happening wonderful after death, but I'm not willing to delude myself. all words of advice?

You'll get more difficult as the most men. Not only are you an atheist, but a woman as well, both of which carry a stigma. We atheists are not accepted by the majority of our society and it saddens me to say, we still live in a sexist society. You have my sympathy. I have no idea how old you are, but I can tell you it gets better with age. As you continue to explore this wonderful world of ours, and everything in it, you will continue to acquire knowledge. This knowledge will help you understand situations like you are now and help you through the most if not all situations you will run into. Knowledge is power and you can use this power to solve problems you encounter inevitably throughout your life. Your story about butterflies in your stomach has a smile on my face. Past two Mondays, the wife and I went to see Paul McCartney in concert, guess what, I have butterflies in my stomach too! ;) Music invokes emotion – which is exactly what art is supposed to do. Ponder this time … …. That music stimulates emotion and you took it and ran with it. You climb the emotion even more, allowing the initiation other emotions such as guilt, doubt, and perhaps even pain. You may not like to hear this, but you have made on yourself by not balance these emotions with rational thought. When you feel going into these emotional situations, STOP, clear your mind and then think rationally about this. Emotions cloud the mind and change the perception, particularly when they are allowed to run wild. The more you practice the Control your emotions, the easier it is to recognize and cope with emotional situations. I hope this helps. Brace yourself. Life is Like wine, he does better with age.
